This tool will help clean the Metadata included in document file by MS Office programs.
Whenever you create, open, or save a document in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, the corresponding document may store information (known as metadata) about the computer the document was prepared on, the specific user who created it, etc. In many situations, you may not like to disclose such data (recipients will be able to read these). This tool will help you wipe all such Metadata clean from the documents you create. This tool supports DOC, XLS, PPT file formats but not the newer DOCX, XLSX or PPTX. The usual Metadata included in the documents are your name, initials, company or organization name, computer name, network server name, hard disk on which the document was saved, authors, revisions and versions, comments, etc. It all depends on your business policy about how much of these you want to keep confidential.
The tool will analyze the corresponding documents and find out hidden or potentially embarrassing data they may contain. You could easily remove hidden and sensitive information in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Documents. It is capable of handling multiple documents at a time. You can handle a full folder as well as selected files from the folder. The interface could not have been simpler. Just about anybody would be able use the tool from the word go. This tool is free to use in personal situations. This is a hood and handy tool. If you have a need, you would do well to try this one out.
